Objective:
To accomplish safe and effective prescribed fire at the landscape scale to advance fuels management and research on fire effects in rangeland ecosystems of Eastern Montana.
Approach:
BLM will develop and implement operational broadcast burn plans for burn units identified in the annual burn plan for Fort Keogh, following ARS Plains Area office approval. ARS will prepare burn units under BLM guidelines and conduct all research activities. BLM will provide equipment and personnel to conduct burns.
